Case study
Lab inventory management that ended reagent stock-outs
A lab inventory platform with batch and expiry tracking, automated reorder points and a mobile scanner app for technicians.
- Expired reagents written off
- Fewer
- Stock visibility across all sites
- Real-time
- To log a stock movement
- Seconds
The challenge
Each lab tracked reagents and consumables in spreadsheets. Expired stock was discovered too late, and shortages delayed patient tests.
Leadership had no cross-site view of stock levels or spend.
Our solution
We built a web platform for stock, batches and expiry dates across sites, with configurable reorder points and supplier integration.
A React Native scanner app lets technicians receive, move and consume stock by barcode in seconds, even with poor Wi-Fi in the lab.
- Barcode-driven stock movements from a mobile app
- Expiry alerts and automatic reorder suggestions
- Cross-site stock and spend dashboards
